DESCRIPTION:Greene Township will provide dumpsters for Self-Service drop-off. The self-service dumpsters will be for\nbulky items only. Township personnel will not be unloading items. \nThe collection will be at the Township building located at 1145 Garver Lane in the village of Scotland. This\nservice is provided to the residents (not commercial) of Greene Township from the Supervisors. \nResidents should bring driver’s license as a form of identification or have a Greene Township identification\nsticker on the vehicle. A bulky item is an item that will not fit in your garbage container or weighs more\nthan 50 pounds. Bulky items must be free of all garbage. Building materials\, loose material\, and items\nthat can be broken down to fit in a garbage container are not bulky items and will not be accepted. \nPlease do not bring liquefied paints\, spray cans\, fuel drums\, and other hazardous materials. We are unable\nto accept them. In addition\, construction debris will NOT be accepted. Arrangements need to be made\nwith the landfill to dump construction debris. We will accept items not picked up by your regular trash\nservice but we do NOT accept regular household trash (bags of garbage\, recyclables\, etc). Yard waste is\nalso not accepted during bulk collection. Greene Township accepts yard waste on a regular basis at our\ncomposting facility on Mickey Inn Road. \nWe will be accepting up to eight tires per household per day for disposal – no return visits. We can only\naccept standard car or pick-up truck tires. Rims and tires must be separated. We continue to accept\nvehicle batteries as well as 20 lb. propane bottles. \nComposting Facility will be CLOSED during Bulk Collection Days
